The holidays are here, and you're ready to create unique and unforgettable memories. Leaving our pets at home doesn't have to be the only option. Your four-legged best friend can be part of every exciting adventure you plan to take.

To do this, it is important to take into account some points such as airline requirements for pets.

  • Major Airlines and Their Policies

Each airline has its own rules and restrictions regarding pet transportation. It's essential to check these policies in advance. Here are some examples:

  • International Airlines:
    • Delta Airlines: Pets are allowed in the cabin and hold, depending on the size and weight of the animal.
    • American Airlines: Pets are welcome in the cabin on flights within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and select Caribbean destinations.
    • Lufthansa: Offers cabin and hold transportation, depending on the animal's weight and size.

Documentation and Procedures

  • Health Certificate: It is generally required within 10 days prior to travel.
  • Vaccination certificate: Make sure your pet's vaccinations are up to date, especially rabies.
  • Microchip: Some airlines and countries require a registered microchip.
  • Pet Passport: Used in the European Union and some other countries.
  • International Veterinary Certificate: Mandatory to enter many countries.
  • Export and Import Certificate: Required by some countries and issued by health authorities.

Recommended Vaccines
